My story

Before healing my own wounds, I struggled with severe depression and anxiety, on top of multiple addictions; including pornography, social media and substances. It was a dark time as my life felt directionless, joyless and absent of meaning.
I began taking responsibility for my life after a much-needed wake-up call, thus beginning my journey of confronting these struggles which eventually led me to God. After spending years relying on discipline and willpower to overcome these battles, I realised I was swimming against the current and completely exhausting myself.

It was then that I realised these behaviours and mental struggles were deeply rooted in underlying pain that needed to be properly understood and addressed.
As I came to see how deeply the spiritual and psychological aspects of life are connected, I began studying both modern therapeutic approaches and the writings of the early Church Fathers.

This shaped an approach to healing that goes beyond coping or regulation—towards real freedom and liberation from the underlying pain, as it is brought before God.If you wish to learn more about how I could help you do the same, take the first step by booking a call with me below.

"In today’s environment of rapid growth of the Orthodox faith it’s important that all the resources that can be made available to men be made available. Jerome is a young man with heart and experience that resonates with this demographic of men that are coming into the Orthodox church in droves. The work that Jerome endeavours on is important work because it is the type of effort that helps the priest to manage the pastoral care of the flock in areas that the priest is often unable to address or not aware of. I believe that his work with even more ecclesiastical support will be a great benefit to any Parish or Diocese."- Fr Turbo Qualls

Very beneficial. He's really good at figuring out the roots of the problem, how they connect and how to flush it out of your system.
I'm at greater peace with myself and have become a more present, productive and better husband and father. This has also affected my family positively.
The coaching taught me a method of dealing with these emotional traumas and things I didn't realise I was holding onto.

About me
I've learned through my own experience that lasting change begins by looking inward, rather than simply trying to modify anything external.
The work I do is centred around Christians looking to work through the very things preventing them from living a life they deem as acceptable to Christ. This arose from my own journey of tribulation and having reached the other side of the tunnel by God's grace.I tried for many years to "force" myself to improve, employing many different strategies from brute-force discipline to adapting my lifestyle to better fit the person I wanted to become. Despite all of these changes, neither the negative internal dialogue nor the intense temptations towards certain passions did not cease and were incredibly exhausting to restrain. That was before I found God.Joining the Church didn't magically make everything go away, but from delving into the writings of the Church Fathers, exploring modern psychological works as well as centring my work around Christ - it was eventually made clear to me that people often overcomplicate the journey of healing God calls us to embark on.My main role is to enter into the hell of those that I work with and guide them towards what's hidden within the darkness, whilst being a bastion of support as they face it. I know that without Christ, true healing is not possible, so conducting this work prayerfully with discernment is of utmost importance to me.

The person behind the work

In December 2023 I was chrismated into the Orthodox Church after spending most of my life atheist. The very next week I began serving behind the altar and still do to this day, now being the lead server and church warden of my parish I'm responsible for making sure everything operates smoothly behind the scenes (essentially a glorified incense lighter!) as well as maintaining order within the parish so we remain on the same page; heading in the right direction. I'm also currently in formation to become a Deacon, a vocation presented to me by my priest which took a while to digest to say the least.

I currently work for the charity "Bulliesout" part time, this role involves going into schools and delivering workshops to bring more awareness around bullying and how it can affect people of all ages. Part of this involves encouraging more kind behaviour between the children and establishing a foundation of emotional intelligence & empathy so they can better navigate this challenging period of social development. I find this incredibly rewarding and fulfilling because it's preparing the next generation to better deal with the struggles of life, both interpersonally and individually.

Being in nature is a favourite pastime of mine, especially if it involves an element of exercise. I'm happy with a long, arduous hike or a relaxing stroll as when I'm surrounded by birds and trees I experience a peace like no other. I also value time outdoors as it allows for greater clarity of thought and decompression, inner work is important but the mind & central nervous system need time to rest and recover too. I'm a firm believer that maintaining a healthy body encourages a healthy mind, so I regularly hit the gym and go on runs so I'm always keeping myself fit.

When I'm not reading Russian literature or lives of the Saints you can find me exploring art in all forms. "Beauty will save the world" as said by Dostoevsky is a quote that resonates deeply with me, given my experience helping people with the unconscious side of their lives I'm fascinated by how this then manifests in various ways when expressed. Engaging in art, both experientially and practically, can be excellent for tapping into our inner worlds - when we co-create with God our potential for love shines through.
